Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for conducting assigned flights in strict adherence to the Airline Operational Manual and relevant civil aviation regulations. The primary focus will be on ensuring safety, security, and efficiency throughout all operations. The role involves supporting and guiding the flight and cabin crew, effectively managing emergencies, and maintaining a positive corporate image.
Key Responsibilities- Operate assigned aircraft between destinations according to approved schedules and flight plans, prioritizing safety.
- Conduct pre-flight briefings to ensure crew awareness of flight details and procedures.
- Collaborate with co-pilots and the Dispatch Team to prepare for each flight, including discussing aircraft status, route preferences, weather, and fuel management.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and fuel checks before, during, and after flights, directing crew responses to any irregularities.
- Work with Maintenance Engineers to verify aircraft technical status and address any defects or issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation and technical logs in accordance with airline and civil aviation regulations.
- Ensure that the Airline Operations Manual is distributed, understood, and adhered to by all flight crew members.
- Stay updated on legal requirements from relevant regulatory bodies and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Hold an appropriate ATPL License.
- Successful completion of technical/psychometric assessments and a Medical Fitness check-up as per airline and civil aviation authority standards.
- Training in safety and emergency response is essential; formal qualifications are advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of airport security procedures and regulations is preferred.
- Crew Resource Management training and familiarity with IATA security principles are advantages.
- Proficiency in aircraft systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing and presentations.
- Excellent English language skills; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
- Minimum of 4,000 flight hours on Airbus A320 aircraft, with at least 800 hours as Pilot-In-Command.
- Experience with low-cost airlines is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of aircraft systems, operating procedures, and safety/security audit practices.
- Ability to implement policies and procedures in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical skills to identify issues and suggest cost-effective solutions.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to support company objectives and achieve business strategies.
