We are looking for an experienced Logistics Executive to manage our port transport operations, container tracking, and e-Token generation across major UAE ports. The ideal candidate must have hands‑on experience in managing empty container gate‑in/gate‑out movements, generating slot booking tokens, tracking container turnarounds to avoid demurrage/detention, and dispatching drivers for timely port deliveries.
Key Responsibilities- - Generate, manage, and modify e-Tokens / Port Gate Pass slots via DP World (Dubai Trade or relevant shipping line platforms for both laden and empty containers.
- - Oversee and coordinate the return of empty containers to off‑dock yards/depots or designated port terminals, ensuring valid interchange receipts (EIRs) are processed promptly.
- - Verify Status of containers that have been gated in.
- - Request pickup lists from various shipping lines after releases have been obtained.
- - Prepare load lists based on the received pickup lists and send them before the cutoff time.
- - Submit ED requests for the containers listed in the load lists and confirm that the EDs are approved.
- - Provide shipping instructions for the Bill of Lading (BL).
- - Request draft bills of lading (BLs) from the shipping lines and confirm their accuracy.
- - Plan and coordinate truck dispatching to transport containers from warehouses, yards, or factory sites directly to the port terminal within scheduled vessel gate‑open/cut‑off windows.
- - Maintain end‑to‑end status tracking for all inbound and outbound containers, monitoring vessel ETAs, container locations, free‑time windows, and storage status.
- - Monitor shipping line free days closely to schedule drop‑offs and pick‑ups without incurring demurrage, detention, or ground storage penalties.
- - Communicate with trailer drivers and third‑party transport providers to issue delivery instructions, monitor vehicle movement, and troubleshoot port gate delays or e‑Token errors.
- - Ensure proper documentation—including Bills of Lading (B/L), Equipment Interchange Receipts (EIR), customs release forms, and shipping orders—are aligned before booking port tokens.
- - Minimum 4 to 5 years of hands‑on logistics experience in UAE port operations, container trucking, or freight forwarding.
- - System Proficiency:
Strong proficiency in UAE port booking portals (Dubai Trade, DP World etc., and Shipping Line portals like Maersk, MSC, CMA CGM, Hapag‑Lloyd). - - Deep understanding of UAE port gate‑in/gate‑out workflows, empty return procedures, EIR reconciliation, and port cut‑off rules.
- - Ability to quickly handle portal errors, token reschedule requests, driver gate rejections, and tight delivery timelines.
- - Good English communication skills; knowledge of Hindi, Urdu, or Arabic is an added advantage.
- - Proficiency in Excel for daily tracking of container statuses, free‑days alerts, and trip logs.
