MESCO Marine is seeking an experienced Marine PRO / Port Clearance Officer to handle vessel and crew formalities for our ship agency operations in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:- Process vessel arrival and departure clearances with port authorities, immigration, customs and other relevant departments.
- Prepare and submit vessel documents, crew lists and clearance applications.
- Handle crew changes, sign-on/sign-off formalities and related immigration approvals.
- Arrange port entry passes and permits for crew, visitors, vehicles and service providers.
- Follow up through authority portals and attend ports and government offices as required.
- Coordinate with vessel captains and the operations team to complete all formalities on time.
- Maintain accurate records of approvals, documents, payments and pending applications.
- Report missing documents, delays and clearance issues promptly to the responsible manager.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with a ship agency in the UAE.
- Hands-on experience in vessel arrival/departure clearance, crew changes and port formalities.
- Familiarity with UAE port, immigration and customs procedures and relevant online portals.
- Experience handling formalities at ports in Sharjah, Dubai, Fujairah or Abu Dhabi.
- Valid UAE driving licence.
- Good spoken and written English;
Arabic is an advantage. - Strong documentation, communication and follow-up skills.
- Ability to handle urgent requirements and attend ports outside normal office hours when necessary.
