Warehouse Assistant

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality immediately reporting any discrepancies
• Efficiently organize and store inventory using designated systems ensuring easy access and accurate tracking
• Utilize warehouse management software for real-time inventory updates maintaining precise records of stock levels
• Prepare and pack outgoing shipments ensuring that all items are securely packaged and labeled correctly
• Assist in conducting regular inventory audits identifying and correcting any stock variances proactively
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks ensuring safe and effective handling of materials
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment adhering to all health and safety regulations to prevent accidents
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow sharing insights on process improvements and efficiencies
• Support the loading and unloading of goods in a timely manner ensuring minimal disruption to operations
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge of warehouse procedures and technology

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or warehousing preferred
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and basic computer skills for data entry and tracking
• Strong attention to detail to meticulously check inventory and packaging for accuracy
• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery, with relevant certifications preferred
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
• Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing
• Problem-solving skills to quickly address and resolve issues that arise during daily operations
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, as per business needs
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn, contributing to a cohesive and motivated team environment
