About the Opportunity

Chess Wizards is seeking enthusiastic, reliable instructors to join our after‑school enrichment program in Sharon, MA. If you can make learning fun, create a positive classroom environment, and share the magic of chess with elementary students, this is the perfect side‑hustle.

• Competitive Pay: $50‑$75 per class (≈1.5 hours)
• Flexible schedule – 1 to 5 classes per week between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
• Travel compensation – mileage reimbursement for trips >15 miles one way

• Lead fun, interactive chess classes for 10–15 elementary students.
• Use our structured curriculum to teach fundamentals and promote good sportsmanship.
• Manage the classroom with confidence and positivity.
• Encourage problem‑solving, creativity, and critical thinking.
• Follow school safety protocols (supervision during arrival, dismissal, in‑class).
• Travel to local schools and arrive prepared and on time.

• Experience working with children (teaching, tutoring, coaching, camp counseling, etc.)
• Comfort leading a class independently and creating engaging sessions.
• Professional, positive, and kid‑friendly demeanor.
• Strong grasp of chess fundamentals; able to explain tactics age‑appropriately.
• Ability to link chess problem‑solving to real‑life problem‑solving.
• Reliable transportation; must be able to drive between locations.
• Availability weekday afternoons (2 – 5 p.m. window) for 1–5 classes per week.
• Commitment to school safety protocols and reliability.
• Strong punctuality and time‑management skills.
