Environmental Senior Project Manager – Sharon, MA
We are currently seeking a motivated Environmental Senior Project Manager in our Sharon, MA office. This individual will support existing project work and new opportunities with consultants, retail, banking, petroleum, real estate, energy, industrial, and commercial markets. The role includes investigation, remediation, treatment systems, chemical injection, O&M, monitoring, owner representation, construction management, and general contracting services.
Responsibilities- Execute projects to address client needs and objectives in site investigation, feasibility assessment, remedial design, construction, and implementation.
- Manage construction permitting (NPDES RGP, Conservation Commission filings, SWPPP, SPCC, MassDOT access).
- Plan projects, waste management, retail petroleum project management, and operations and maintenance of remediation systems.
- Participate in proposal development and attend networking events and client functions.
- Budget, estimate, schedule, and sequence projects, and manage project meetings.
- Plan field staff activities for investigation, project coordination, and remedial services.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers, scientists, and technicians.
- Provide knowledge of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan and licensing, and state/federal regulations.
- Manage contractors and subcontractors, and write technical reports.
- Collect, prepare, tabulate, evaluate, and interpret data.
- Minimum of 12 years’ experience in environmental investigation/remediation projects or equivalent.
- Preferred B.S. or M.S. in Environmental, Civil, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology.
- Professional licensing and registration (e.g., P.E., LSP, LEP, LSRP, LRS, QEP, P.G., AI, other). LSP license or career track to obtain a license within one–two years is required.
- Experience in geotechnical and chemical engineering with field experience considered a plus.
- 8‑ and 40‑hour HAZWOPER training and commitment to safety.
- Valid driver’s license with ability to travel locally and within the eastern United States.
- ASTM Phase I/II reporting experience.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills for client interaction and coordination.
- Knowledge of soil and groundwater sampling techniques.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
