Senior Service Engineer – Paralleling Switchgear

At ABB we help industries outperform with cleaner, smarter solutions. As Senior Service Engineer you will lead field engineering and service for high‑voltage power delivery equipment across North America, driving installation, troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance.

• Hands‑on execution of projects including startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design and repair of power delivery equipment (transformers, switch gear, OCBs, circuit breakers, busways, UPS, ATS, PLCs, relays, control systems).
• Lead outages with field engineers, technicians and contractors; manage project schedules, site engineering and reporting.
• Prepare and maintain technical reports, material orders, quotations and job status updates.
• Plan, prepare and deliver internal or external training programs to share field engineering knowledge.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field and ≥5 years of field engineering experience (or equivalent combination).
• Travel up to 75 % of the time.
• Experience in repair and refurbishment of LV and MV circuit breakers preferred.
• Technical skills in testing, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting of medium‑voltage synchronous machines preferred.
• Valid U.S. work authorization.
