• Provides a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Assists the pharmacist under direct supervision in pharmacy practice, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engages customers and patients by greeting and offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues and answering questions.
• Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members.
• Recommends items for sale and trade‑ups, processes voids, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
• Keeps counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, takes inventory, and maintains records.
• Performs duties assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist and Store Manager, including pharmacy system entry, medication filling, verification, and quality improvement.
• Reports prescription errors to pharmacist immediately and complies with company policies and the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
• Processes telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist.
• Processes manual claims for third‑party prescription services.
• Supports pharmacy inventory management, ordering, unpacking, storing, and claims filing.
• Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Constructs and maintains displays for promotional and seasonal merchandise.
• Assists with food item separation and product placement; performs stock rotation.
• Provides customer service in the photo area (passport photo, poster print, etc.).
• Assumes web pick‑up responsibilities and monitors orders.
• Maintains store equipment and cleans the store interior and exterior.
• Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English; unless in Puerto Rico.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

• At least six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Previous work experience with Walgreens.
• Good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Strong computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification.

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification.
• Attend training and complete required PPLs; acquire continuing education credits.
