Job Description & How to Apply Below

Overview

We’re seeking a skilled Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to join a world‑class manufacturing operation producing consumer chemical and body products. This facility combines chemical batching, precision filling, and high‑speed automated packaging, supported by both modern servo‑driven equipment and older mechanically intensive machinery.

This is a role for a true subject‑matter expert: someone who can independently troubleshoot complex problems, drive root‑cause solutions, and keep advanced production lines running at peak performance. You’ll work across mechanical systems, electrical distribution, controls, pneumatics, robotics, instrumentation, and sensor‑driven automation. The ideal technician is hands‑on, curious, collaborative, and capable of bridging both legacy equipment and cutting‑edge production technologies.

We value craftsmanship, problem‑solving, and positive team culture, and we’re looking for technicians who take pride in doing the job right and supporting those around them.

Compensation
  • $38 - $42 / hr
Shift Options
  • 1st: 6am - 2:30pm
  • 2nd: 2:00 - 10:30pm
Benefits
  • Health, Vision, Dental
  • 401(k) + Match
Responsibilities
  • Mechanical Equipment Maintenance – Repair, rebuild, and maintain production equipment including mixers, batching tanks, fillers, cappers, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, and mechanical assemblies on both legacy and modern lines.
  • Electrical & Controls Troubleshooting – Diagnose issues with 24V–480V systems, motors, sensors, drives, relays, and control panels; rapidly identify root causes in systems driven by servos, encoders, and automation hardware.
  • Automation & Robotics Support – Troubleshoot faults on packaging robots, servo‑driven pick‑and‑place units, tray loaders, and automated palletizing systems; support reliability of integrated motion systems.
  • Instrumentation & Vision Systems – Maintain and calibrate sensors, level switches, safety devices, load cells, and vision inspection systems used for fill verification, label alignment, cap presence, and quality checks.
  • Pneumatic & Hydraulic Systems – Repair valves, cylinders, actuators, air manifolds, and fluid power components used across filling and packaging equipment.
  • Preventive & Predictive Maintenance – Execute PM programs including lubrication, belt and chain inspections, wear component replacement, electrical checks, and sensor alignment to minimize downtime.
  • Root Cause Analysis – Lead troubleshooting efforts to identify recurring problems, propose long‑term solutions, and prevent repeated equipment failures without relying on engineering escalation.
  • Continuous Improvement – Recommend process upgrades, equipment modifications, and reliability improvements to enhance uptime, safety, and efficiency across the plant.
  • Collaboration & Communication – Work closely with operators, maintenance teammates, engineering, and production leadership; maintain clear logs of repairs, parts usage, downtime, and recommended improvements.
  • Safety & Compliance – Follow LOTO and all facility safety procedures; uphold quality, environmental, and regulatory standards in a chemical‑handling and consumer production environment.
