Opportunity

Vegetation Lead is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day vegetation room activities within the facility and ensuring vegetation processes and procedures are performed to standards to ensure efficiency and overall performance. The Vegetation Lead will lead and manage employees, ensuring that production needs are met, are in full compliance with all state and local regulations, and any procedural problems are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.

It is imperative that this role leads by example and can ensure that their team is organized and on task.

Ensure that the facility is kept safe and compliant with OSHA standards as well as all state and local regulations at all times. This position will be responsible for following and enforcing ALL Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) as they relate to various aspects of our cultivation and maintaining compliance within our facility at all times. Cultivation Leads will be responsible for many key day‑to‑day tasks that keep our facility operating smoothly and our production cycle on schedule.

Having a positive mindset, a capacity to problem‑solve, as well as a team‑first attitude is critical.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

These include, but are not limited to, the following (other duties may be assigned):

Vegetation Specific Tasks

  • Assist with the coordination of all grow operations including Daily Activities, Quality Assurance, Cloning, Re‑Potting, Plant Health, and IPM management as well as assuring compliance with local, state, and federal licensing requirements.
  • Properly train and educate vegetation room technicians on all Vegetation SOPs and procedures.
  • Able to assess when 1st plant topping is needed and follow consistently through the patch at least 2 times before 1st topping is complete. If cuts are not needed assess the appropriate time for 2nd topping, and when to bring plants to the correct height.
  • Inventory procedures as they relate to proper plant counts, tracking information for inventory to ensure that our facility is always operating in compliance with METRC.
  • Responsible for ordering inventory for the Vegetation Room which includes hoses, plant tags, rooting gel, trays, etc.
  • Responsible for following all operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information, and policies when performing duties.
  • Responsible for completing any work assigned to them during their scheduled shift, as well as information sharing.
  • Ensuring transportation of trash, waste, and green waste to the disposal area.

Management Tasks

  • Communicate with other Leads and Managers within the organization to ensure seamless workflow between departments.
  • Meet with cultivation/IPM/Veg managers on a weekly basis to review weekly tasks and expected outcomes.
  • Ensuring all environmental checklists are completed daily.
  • Organize and assign daily tasks to the vegetation team.
  • Overview of daily work performed by the vegetation team to ensure proper standards and efficiencies are met.
  • Prepare End of Day Reports and Facilities Checks daily.
