Head Start is looking for both 4K and non 4K Teachers!

Early Childhood Education teachers will work within the UW Oshkosh Head Start program, which is a federally funded, preschool program for low-income families.

Head Start employees have the opportunity towork with 384 children and their families every school year. We have seven centers in five different cities throughout Winnebago, Calumet, Outagamie, and Shawano Counties.

Staff wellness is prioritized through available individual/group reflective practice, Practice Based Coaching, and wellness initiatives.

HIRING INCENTIVE!!

Head Start has a great hiring incentive happening now! New Hires, working 21 hours or more per week, will receive a $500.00 bonus after working 90 days .
New hires working 20 hours or less per week will receive a $250.00 bonus after the 90-day period.

• Plans and facilitates classroom programming and schedules daily classroom activities for an early childhood education facility according to established curriculums

• Evaluates individualized and developmental educational plans for children in collaboration with other stakeholders, as needed

• Mentors new teachers and students

• Maintains and documents effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to relay pertinent information and provide updates of child activities per established guidelines and regulations

• Maintains the safety and physical well-being of children in a designated classroom

Head Start

• 4K Teachers - $46,464

• Non-4K Teachers - $33,169.20 - $35,954.40

4K Teacher

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and/or related field

• Wisconsin Pre-Kindergarten certification # or 090

Non-4K Teacher

• A ssociate degree or higherin early childhood education or degree in related field with experience teaching preschool
