Position Summary:

This Assistant District Attorney position is a full-time position to be filled in the District Attorney’s office for Menominee-Shawano County, located in Shawano, Wisconsin. This is a State position in the unclassified service. This position has an anticipated start date of Monday, October 6, 2025.

Shawano is within an hour drive from both Green Bay and Appleton, Wisconsin. You’ll find a variety of activities around Shawano County, including: the 37th Annual Caroline Lion’s Club Colorama, Annual Trail Ride, Shawano Downtown October fest, Shawano Farmer’s Market, and activities around Shawano Lake and Cloverleaf Lakes. Downtown Shawano has numerous shops and events throughout the year.

Salary Information:
The starting salary for the position will be $78,686 annually ($37.83 per hour).

Attorneys who are currently employed by the State of Wisconsin are invited to apply and may be able to transfer at their current pay rate. Attorneys who have left the position of Wisconsin elected District Attorney or Assistant District Attorney within the last five years may be able to be hired at a wage rate above the minimum.

Only attorneys who have been admitted to practice law in the State of Wisconsin may be hired.
