Utility Clerk
Location:
Lenexa, KS. Pay: $26.61/hour.
Hours:
Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.
This role supports the Shawnee Line Division Offices by performing clerical and accounting functions related to the company’s work order system (Maximo) and other utility tasks. The clerk ensures accurate completion of work order closures, monitors job codes, schedules service workloads, documents large work orders, and assists with design documentation as needed.
Responsibilities- Perform all tasks related to the Maximo work order closing process.
- Monitor and correct job codes and major units of property on all work orders.
- Schedule outages, tree drops, service work orders, and document accounts within CCB.
- Assist employees with design work and deliver material when required.
- Type a minimum of 20 words per minute with high accuracy.
- Maintain accuracy and quality in all clerical and bookkeeping tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within a 35‑mile radius of the Shawnee Service Center.
- Proficiency with MS Office and Maximo (or similar work‑order systems).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and time‑management ability.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
