Advent Health is seeking an accomplished and visionary physician leader to serve as Executive Medical Director (EMD) of the Advent Health Heart & Vascular Institute (HVI). This individual will provide strategic and clinical leadership for cardiovascular services across the Mid-America Region, fostering collaboration among multidisciplinary teams and advancing the Institute's mission to deliver world-class heart and vascular care.

Role Overview
The Executive Medical Director will:
- Lead the strategic direction, growth, and performance of cardiovascular services across the Mid-America Region-including cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, vascular surgery, electrophysiology, imaging, and preventive cardiology.
- Partner in a dyad model to ensure excellence in clinical outcomes, physician engagement, operational performance, and financial stewardship.
- Foster alignment among cardiovascular physicians across multiple campuses (Shawnee Mission, South Overland Park, Lenexa City Center, Ottawa) to build a unified, integrated service line. Advance research, innovation, and education by expanding clinical trials, developing academic and industry partnerships, and strengthening national reputation.
- Promote an exceptional patient experience, uphold Advent Health's mission and values, and lead initiatives in quality, accreditation, and process improvement.
- Dedicate approximately 50% of time to leadership and administrative responsibilities while maintaining active clinical practice in a specialty area.

- Deep understanding of cardiovascular program operations, finance, and accreditation standards (ACC, STS, IAC, VQI)
- Visionary mindset with the ability to translate strategy into measurable goals
Experience & Credentials
- Ten or more years of cardiovascular clinical practice (cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, or vascular surgery)
- Demonstrated success leading or developing a nationally recognized cardiovascular program
• Board certified in area(s) of specialty - Eligible for Kansas physician medical licensure
- Experience in research, medical education, and professional society engagement (ACC, STS, SVS, HRS)
- Preferred: M.B.A., M.H.A., or equivalent graduate degree
