The Produce Clerk is a vital role responsible for maintaining the freshness, quality, and visual appeal of our produce department. This position requires a dedicated individual with a strong work ethic, a passion for fresh produce, and exceptional customer service skills. The Produce Clerk is expected to ensure the department is well‑stocked, clean, and organized, providing a positive shopping experience for all customers.

• Receive, inspect, and unload produce deliveries, ensuring quality and freshness.
• Stock and rotate produce, adhering to FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, practicing food safety and sanitation standards.
• Provide excellent customer service, greeting customers and assisting with their selections.
• Merchandise produce displays to maximize sales and visual appeal.
• Monitor inventory levels and report low stock to the department manager.
• Handle produce with care, minimizing waste and spoilage.
• Assist with the preparation of pre‑cut and packaged produce items.
• Demonstrate positivity and effective communication with team members and customers.

• Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Experience in a retail produce environment.
