Associate Professor of Computer Science​/Cybersecurity

Join a community-focused Christian university setting in Shawnee, OK (onsite) where you will help shape undergraduate cybersecurity education and student growth. • Teach undergraduate courses in cybersecurity and general computer science
  .
• Manage the OBU Cybersecurity Lab to support student learning and departmental goals.
• Provide leadership for the student cybersecurity club
  .
• Advise and mentor students throughout their academic journey.
• Serve on university committees as assigned.
• Complete School of Business duties as assigned.
• Assist with assessment and accreditation reporting for the computer science - cybersecurity major
  .
• Work with Admissions to recruit students to the Business School and the University
  .
• Network in the community to help students connect with industry
  .

• Ability to teach courses in cybersecurity and computer science
  .
• Strong communication skills
  .
• Willingness and ability to advise and mentor students.
• Ability to represent the professional community beyond OBU
  .
• Commitment to pursue scholarly activity
  .
• Willingness to teach some online courses
  .
• Must be a member of a local evangelical Christian church
  .

Master’s degree in computer science with an emphasis on cybersecurity (or related Master’s degree with relevant experience).

• Preferred: successful university-level teaching experience and industry experience.
• Proficiency with software development tools and classroom presentation software
  .

Must have sufficient mobility and physical stamina to teach classes and travel as needed.
