The Project Engineer will guide and provide technical knowledge to grow the business successfully through design, project management, and innovation. This position will be responsible for implementing new product designs into production which includes developing quotes, engineering studies, PPAP samples, and qualification into production. The incumbent will provide input to the Capital Plan for tooling and equipment, and will manage multiple projects according to the Product Development Process.

Role DescriptionThis full‑time on‑site Project Engineer role is based in Sheboygan Falls, WI. The Project Engineer will oversee and manage engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring they meet design, quality, and budget requirements. Responsibilities include developing and analyzing product designs, coordinating with cross‑functional teams, managing project timelines, and solving technical challenges. The position also involves providing technical expertise to support production, quality assurance, and customer interactions.
SpecificResponsibilities
- Work with sales and cross‑functional team on preparing quotes for new projects and opportunities
- Provide input on part design with the customer
- Provide input on the tool design
- Request sampling of the tool
- Manage the verification of the injection mold, molding process, and assembly process
- Travel with sales managers on sales opportunities
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to lead new product development projects
- Develop initial new product packaging specifications as required
- Establish and manage timeline milestone commitments
- Establish and manage project costs
- Coordinate all testing required for product validation
- Provide written project status reports as requested by manager
- Ability to travel – up to 15%
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and engineering best practices
- 3‑5 years applicable project engineering experience
- Collaboration and communication skills to work effectively in cross‑functional teams
- Ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality assurance methodologies
- Experience working with plastics and injection molding processes
- Ability to effectively organize resources to complete multiple projects with competing deadlines with minimal direct supervision
- Knowledge of commonly used engineering, tooling and design methods, practices, and procedures
