Staff Accountant

Position Summary/Objective:

The Staff Accountant will assist the accounting team with capital expenditures and fixed assets tracking and reporting. Review monthly standard costing and variances. Process German sales entity including intercompany eliminations, banking & financial reporting. Heavily involved in month end close, processing journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations.

• Track Fixed Assets, Cap Ex spend, variances and work with various department managers.
• Standard Cost reviews, tracking, reconciliations, and monitor variances.
• Process monthly close for German Sales Entity, assist with international tasks, including intercompany elimination calculations.
• Month end close preparation, journal entries and reconciliations along with journal entries.
• Assist with year-end financial close, work paper preparation & reconciliations.
• Assist with annual audit preparation, audit inquiries, providing & uploading support as needed.
• Lease tracking & maintain ROU asset reconciliations.
• Serve as a back up to AR/AP & Payroll processing.
• Other analysis or projects as needed.

• Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Prefer 2-3 years work experience in an Accounting role in manufacturing setting.
• Organized, problem solving analytical focus with an attention to detail.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Strong oral and written communication and time management skills.
• Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with vlookups and pivot tables).
• Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information.
