The PM will manage the full project lifecycle—scope definition, engineering coordination, vendor selection, budgeting, outage planning, construction oversight, safety compliance, and final commissioning. This position requires strong technical acumen, hands‑on field leadership, and proven experience delivering major capital or outage projects safely, on time, and within budget.

  • Perform review of ESP inspection reports, condition assessments, and engineering studies to develop and validate project scope.
  • Coordinate with engineering to finalize drawings, technical specifications, and material requirements.
  • Develop project budgets, cost tracking tools, cash‑flow projections, and overall project schedules, including critical‑path and outage alignment.
  • Coordinate with OEMs and specialty contractors to align fabrication, material deliveries, and labor resources; oversee RFPs, bid evaluations, contract reviews, and vendor negotiations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with operations, maintenance, engineering, safety, and project leadership; manage union craft labor coordination and ensure compliance with site labor requirements.
  • Monitor engineering validations, field verifications, ductwork/wrapper assessments, and review technical submittals, QA/QC documents, and engineering drawings.
  • Ensure proper integration of ESP systems with plant electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Partner with site Safety to implement project‑specific safety plans and ensure compliance with environmental and plant policies, including LOTO, confined‑space entry, and hot‑work permitting.
  • Lead daily construction and outage coordination meetings; monitor contractor performance, resolve field issues, and manage schedule adherence and change orders.
  • Support commissioning, testing, and startup of the upgraded ESP system.
  • Maintain project documentation, progress reports, risk logs, and meeting notes; ensure completion of turnover packages, as‑built drawings, and commissioning records.
  • Conduct post‑project reviews and lessons‑learned sessions.
Job Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of coal‑fired power plant mechanical systems, ESP construction, and air‑quality control equipment.
