Job Description   Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
Discuss work with supervisor
Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
Inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
Review work orders
Road test motor vehicles
Test automotive systems and components
Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
Repair or replace mechanical units or components
Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
Perform scheduled maintenance service
Test and adjust units to specifications
Complete reports to record problems and work performed
Requirements   Musthave 5 years or more of work experience.
Mustbe able to communicate either English or French.
Mustbe able to work in a dirty and noisy environment.
Mustbe able to work in a garage setting.
Musthave own transportation and a valid Driver’s License.
Mustbe able to provide a Driving record check.
Musthave an Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification.
Work conditions and physical capabilities include strong hand-eye co-ordination,attention to detail, and manual dexterity, as well as the ability to stand for extended periods.
Owntools/equipment required include tools and steel-toed safety boots.
Personal suitability includes accuracy, dependability, excellent written communication,reliability, teamwork, and punctuality.
