About your new company:
My client is a national provider of Powered Access engineering services, delivering maintenance, repair and compliance solutions across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Workshop Manager to oversee their Sheerness depot and lead the engineering operation.
About your new Workshop Manager role:
Overseeing the day-to-day running of the workshop and depot operations (fully off the tools).
Managing and coordinating a team of engineers, ensuring productivity and quality standards are maintained.
Ensuring all machines are inspected, serviced and repaired in line with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
Overseeing LOLER inspections and compliance documentation.
Managing stock control, conducting regular stock takes and ordering parts to maintain efficient workflow.
Liaising with suppliers and maintaining strong relationships to ensure timely parts delivery.
Monitoring workshop KPIs, turnaround times and engineer performance.
Ensuring health & safety standards are adhered to at all times.
Supporting nationwide engineering operations
What you’ll need to succeed for this Workshop Manager role:
Previous experience within Powered Access or Plant sector
Proven experience managing engineers or supervising a workshop environment.
Strong knowledge of LOLER regulations and compliance standards.
Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
Commercial awareness with the ability to manage costs and stock effectively.
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plant Maintenance or related discipline preferred.
Full UK Driving Licence.
