As a Connecting Communities Caseworker
, you will work with people in custody who use our services to prepare for transition back into the community. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience of substance misuse issues, looking to take the next step in their career with a charity that will support your continued personal and professional development.
This role is based across 3 prison sites: HMP Elmley, HMP Swaleside and HMP Standford Hill.
Full Time Salary Range: £27,861.26 to £32,002.35*

Prison clearance required. This is a prison based role.
Responsibilities- Prepare individuals engaging with CGL and Oxleas for release back into the community or when transferring to another site.
- Work with healthcare colleagues to support clients in transition to communities across the UK.
- Engage clients post-release for a period of time to provide flexibility.
- Collaborate with multi‑agency partners to achieve good outcomes for the service user group.
- Excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within a related field.
- A commitment to multi‑agency working and establishing partnerships with other professions to achieve good outcomes.
- Accomplished written and verbal communication skills with high IT competency. Ability to update and maintain records accurately and on time.
- Excellent team working and interpersonal skills, maintaining a highly cooperative approach.
- Experience of working within a prison/criminal justice setting.
- Sensitivity when working with complex and diverse cultural issues.
- 25 days holiday (+ bank holidays) rising by 1 day for each year’s service (capped at 30 days).
