Job Summary:
The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations. They acquire and maintain knowledge of the products, prepare, serve, and break down products, equipment, and supplies, intercept consumers, and demonstrate products professionally while maintaining a professional appearance.
- Acquire and maintain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
- Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell products to consumers in a positive manner.
- Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
- Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers and knives.
- Maintain a clean, sterile and safe work station using cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
- Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution.
- Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
- Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
- Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
- Complete expense reports as per Company Policy.
- Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
- Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, view documents in Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF.
- High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training preferred.
- Proficient with personal computer or mobile device, using applications and internal systems.
- Local Food Handlers permit may be required.
- English is primary; bilingual skills may be required.
- Physical demands: stand/walk throughout shift, reach up to 65 inches, lift up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), push/pull full demonstration cart, prepare foods/beverages with appliances, contact cleaning supplies.
- No supervisory responsibilities.
- Work in a retail store environment with limited travel.
- Professional appearance and grooming.
