Practice Accountant - Ballymoney - Permanent

About the role:

What you will be doing in this role:
  • Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
  • Manage and oversee the preparation of tax returns for both individuals and businesses, ensuring timely and accurate filing
  • Provide clients with tax planning advice and financial recommendations
  • Assist clients with financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and addressing their accounting needs.
  • Liaise with HMRC and other relevant 3rd party authorities regarding client matters
  • Keep up to date with accounting and tax regulations to ensure accurate and compliant service delivery
What you'll need for this role:
  • Experience with in accountancy practice
  • Understanding of tax, accounting, and audit procedures
  • Formal qualifications such as ACA/ACCA (consideration given to Qualified by Experience Accountants with relevant experience)
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, Quick Books) and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving
