About the Client

Our client is one of the last true independent accountancy practices based in Manchester city centre. The firm serves a loyal client base of owner‑managed businesses, SMEs and professionals, with turnovers ranging from £10m to £400m.

Lead audits for 70‑80 clients, manage engagement teams from planning to completion, supervise junior staff, ensure compliance with audit and accounting standards, and maintain strong client relationships across a range of industries.

• Plan, manage, and execute audits for a portfolio of clients
• Prepare statutory accounts and audit documentation
• Lead audit teams and review the work of junior staff
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients
• Ensure compliance with audit and accounting standards
• Use software such as Xero, Sage, Quick Books, and IRIS
• Contribute to ad‑hoc assurance and advisory projects

• ACA / ACCA qualified with 2+ years post‑qualification experience
• Proven experience managing people and leading audits
• Strong technical knowledge of audit and assurance
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills
• Sociable, proactive, and progressive in mindset
• Team‑oriented with a commitment to client service
• Ability to commute to Manchester City Centre

• Salary: £43,000‑£45,000 DOE
• Hybrid working: 2 days per week from home
