I am partnering with a fast-growing accountancy practice in Sheffield in their search for a Senior Digital Accountant. Due to recent growth and greater demand for their services, there is now an opportunity for a candidate with good digital accounting experience to step into a senior position moulded around you.
This is an exciting opportunity to work very closely with the owner of the business, gain exposure to their network and client base alongside shaping the business and play a key role in its future. There is a genuine opportunity to earn future equity in the business for the right person.
This is an ideal opportunity for a hands on and proactive candidate. Someone who knows the local market and has experience working with SME’s and OMB’s as well as the personality to fit into a dynamic and growth focused practice.

Duties/Responsibilities- Managing a portfolio of SME clients across a range of sectors.
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, management accounts and tax work.
- Advising clients on cloud accounting systems.
- Supporting businesses with digital transformation and improving financial processes.
- Acting as the main point of contact for many clients.
- Identifying opportunities to provide additional advisory services.
- Mentoring junior members of the team.
- Working closely with the owner on strategic decisions and helping drive the firm's continued growth.
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or Qualified by Experience with strong practice experience).
- Solid experience working within an accountancy practice.
- Confident using cloud accounting software and passionate about digital ways of working.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to develop lasting client relationships.
- Commercially aware and able to understand the challenges local owner-managed businesses face.
- Someone who takes ownership, uses initiative and enjoys making things happen.
- Friendly, approachable and down-to-earth.
- Direct exposure to the owner and the opportunity to influence the future of the business.
