Leading National Accountancy Practice | True 4-Day Week | Clear Route to Associate Partner

Lead your own team. Build lasting client relationships. Take the next step in your career.

We’re working with a leading national accountancy practice to appoint a Manager within their Sheffield office.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of an established client portfolio, lead your own team, and play a key role in the continued success of a growing business.

With a clear route to Associate Partner, this role is ideal for someone looking to progress into a senior leadership position while continuing to build strong client relationships.

A true 4-day week

This isn’t compressed hours or a trial scheme.

The practice operates a true company-wide 4-day week, on full pay, because they believe people perform at their best when they have more time outside of work.

You’ll keep the same responsibilities, the same career opportunities and the same salary, just with an extra day every week to yourself.

The role

You’ll be the primary point of contact for an established portfolio of clients, building trusted relationships and providing practical advice beyond compliance.

Alongside managing your own portfolio, you’ll lead and develop a team, review technical work, support junior team members, and help maintain the high standards the practice is known for.

The role offers a varied mix of management accounts, VAT, advisory work and people leadership, giving you the opportunity to make a genuine impact across both your clients and the wider team.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage an established portfolio of clients as their primary point of contact.
  • Prepare and review management accounts.
  • Review VAT returns and compliance work completed by the wider team.
  • Advise clients on tax planning, cash flow and business growth.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team.
  • Take ownership of deadlines, quality of work and client service.

About you

  • Experience managing client relationships within an accountancy practice.
  • Experience reviewing the work of junior team members.
  • Experience using Xero, Quick Books or Sage.
  • A commercial mindset with a genuine interest in advisory work as well as compliance.
  • True company-wide 4-day week on full pay.
  • A Salary that matches the seniority of the role.
  • Lead your own team and established client portfolio.
  • Clear route to Associate Partner.
  • Highly visible leadership role with genuine influence.
  • Join a leading national accountancy practice with ambitious growth plans.
