Contract: 6-month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £55,000+ depending on experience

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting for an experienced Financial Reporting Senior Manager to join a well-established organisation in Sheffield on an initial 6-month fixed term contract.

This is a technically focused financial reporting position with responsibility for external reporting, statutory accounts, technical accounting and the management of the external audit process.

• Lead the preparation of statutory and interim financial statements across a Group structure and its subsidiary companies.
• Provide technical accounting expertise on IFRS and wider financial reporting matters.
• Ensure financial reporting is accurate, compliant and supported by clear audit trails and appropriate documentation.
• Support the correct accounting treatment and classification of financial assets and liabilities, including IFRS 9.
• Maintain and reconcile investment and loan records, ensuring underlying financial information is accurate and complete.
• Manage and coordinate the external audit process, acting as a key point of contact for auditors.
• Support effective financial controls and governance across the reporting process.
• Review and resolve complex accounting matters, ensuring conclusions are appropriately documented.
• Work collaboratively with wider finance teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial reporting.

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with significant post-qualification experience.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting background.
• Current knowledge and practical application of IFRS

• Experience producing statutory and/or consolidated financial statements.
• Experience managing external audits and responding to complex audit queries.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, reconciliations and financial reporting processes.
• Experience with IFRS 9 and financial assets/liabilities would be highly advantageous.
• Previous experience within financial services, banking, investment management or another technically complex reporting environment would be beneficial.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communicating complex accounting matters clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Able to work independently, manage competing priorities and take ownership of technical reporting requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong qualified accountant to take ownership of a senior financial reporting remit within a complex organisation, with exposure to Group reporting, IFRS, technical accounting and external audit.
