I am working with an established accountancy practice in Sheffield in their search for an Accounts Senior. This is a firm experiencing rapid growth hence the desire to expand the team and are continuing to build upon recent success. This is a business that focus heavily on delivering a high quality service and supporting its people in a collaborative working environment.
The role will involve using your accounting knowledge and experience to provide a high level of service to clients, while supporting the wider accounts and tax team. You will manage your own portfolio, prepare and review accounts and tax work, attend client meetings and provide support and guidance to other members of the team.
This opportunity would suit an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with practice experience, whether you are newly qualified or an experienced Accounts Senior. This is a firm that promotes progression and development and is an ideal business for ambitious candidates looking to further their career.
Duties & Responsibilities- Preparation of management accounts
- Work with a varied portfolio of clients as the key point of contact
- Add value to clients through meetings
- Preparation of personal tax returns
- Review and submit VAT returns
- Mentor junior members of staff
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice
- Experience managing a portfolio of mixed clients
- Experience across accounts, tax and advisory work
- Proactive and organised
- Self-motivated and confident
- Able to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
