OverviewThis role delivers a range of marketing administrative activity to meet the needs of the Marketing team. This work encompasses all administrative support from finance to basic project management. The role requires a highly organised team player, who can prioritise and work independently with great communication skills as well as a passion for higher education and marketing. They should enjoy working with creative people and prospective and recent students.
The post is part of a central team which includes a range of high performing marketing, recruitment and events professionals. The team vision is to create the best possible prospective student experience at every touchpoint, in a collaborative and innovative way.
- Provide administrative support for the organisation and delivery of a range of marketing activities
- Develop, manage and maintain processes, tools, databases and spreadsheets to store information in the most appropriate format, adhering to GDPR regulations.
- Deal with financial transactions, maintaining financial records in line with University procedures and providing admin support for procurement framework processes.
- Support with inductions, training and development administration as needed.
- Provide project administration support as needed, using appropriate packages and processes.
- Support with marketing activities as required.
- Any other duties as required including attendance at events and other critical business activity throughout the year. Includes occasional evenings and weekends.
- Educated to A-level standard or equivalent, or have relevant experience
- Experience in an administration role including covering finance and ability to use relevant Google Suite and Microsoft software.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, anticipating the needs of others in the team to provide an effective marketing support service
- Demonstrable experience and the ability to manage conflicting demands whilst keeping to tight deadlines on a range of projects
- Ability to work effectively in a team, developing strong relationships with others and assisting other team members as necessary to achieve the overall objectives
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to deal with issues of confidentiality and sensitive situations in a professional manner.
- Interest in marketing and higher education.
- Ability to work independently and own projects.
Grade 5
Salary£27,319 - £31,236 per annum, with potential to progress to £33,951 through sustained exceptional contribution
