Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do at St Lukes Hospice. From our retail teams to clinical support roles, volunteers help us deliver compassionate care and vital services across Sheffield.
Were looking for a Volunteer Team Administrator to play a key part in ensuring every volunteer feels welcomed, supported, and able to contribute safely and meaningfully.
Reporting to the Volunteering Team Leader, you will provide high-quality administrative support across the full volunteer journey, from first enquiry through to onboarding, compliance, and ongoing engagement.
Youll be the engine behind the volunteer journey, making sure everything runs smoothly from first enquiry to active short, you will:
Be the friendly first point of contact for volunteer enquiries
Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, checks and inductions
Keep volunteer records accurate and compliant
Support DBS processes, training records and reporting
Help organise work experience and placement opportunities
Contribute to volunteer communications, engagement and recognition
Provide vital admin support to the Volunteering Team Youll play a key role in ensuring volunteers feel welcomed, informed, safe and valued.

Were looking for someone who is:
Experienced in administration or coordination
Highly organised with great attention to detail
Confident using databases and managing records
Calm and capable of juggling multiple priorities
A strong communicator warm, clear and professional
Compassionate and comfortable working in a hospice environment
Committed to equity, diversity, inclusion and wellbeing
Experience in volunteering, charity, healthcare, recruitment or DBS processes would be a bonus but not essential.
