About the Role We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Senior Business Support Officer to provide high-level business and administrative support to senior leaders. You will play a key role in supporting inward investment activity by helping to plan and deliver business events, meetings and visits. This includes coordinating high-profile events, managing busy diaries and inboxes, preparing meeting papers and working closely with internal teams and external partners.
Key Requirements Experience in a senior business support or executive support role. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure. Confident supporting senior leaders and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Good IT skills with experience using Microsoft Office and other business systems. Minimum of 5 GCSEs (including English and Maths) or equivalent, or able to demonstrate the skills needed for the role.
Key Responsibilities Coordinate and support inward investment events, business visits and engagement programmes, including large-scale events. Provide high-quality diary and inbox management for the Head of Service, ensuring priorities are managed effectively. Organise meetings, prepare agendas, briefings and papers, and ensure all information is ready on time. Work with senior leaders, businesses and external partners to coordinate high-profile visits and events.
Build strong working relationships and provide efficient administrative support to ensure activities are delivered successfully.
