This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy project team and play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of large-scale transport and infrastructure programmes. The successful candidate will provide a combination of project, administrative, financial and stakeholder support, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide administrative and technical support to project teams.
* Organise meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes and monitor follow-up actions.
* Assist with the preparation of reports through the collection, extraction and analysis of data from a variety of sources.
* Maintain project documentation, including work programmes, risk registers and issue logs.
* Update and manage project information within project management systems and databases.
* Support procurement activities and liaise with external suppliers where required.
* Assist with project financial administration, including raising purchase orders, processing invoices and recording project costs.
* Support stakeholder engagement, consultation and communications activities.
* Monitor project progress and help ensure deadlines and key milestones are achieved.
* Provide general support across the wider project team as required.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
* GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
* Previous experience within a project support, project administration or business support role.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* Experience of managing and prioritising a varied workload.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
* The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* A professional, adaptable and proactive approach.
