Vehicle Technician
position based in
Sheffield
. Working within a thriving workshop, you will be joining a forward-thinking and well-established
family-run business
. Working hours are
Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm
, along with
1 in 4 Saturdays 9am to 3pm
. You will be rewarded with a
basic salary starting up to £38,000
, with further negotiation available depending on experience, alongside excellent working conditions and long-term career stability.
Job
Duties Include:
Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
Diagnose faults using the latest diagnostic equipment and carry out repairs to the highest industry standards.
Remove and refit mechanical and electrical components efficiently and accurately.
Complete vehicle health checks and inspections, identifying any additional work required.
Ensure all servicing and repairs are completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.
Carry out routine maintenance including brakes, suspension, clutches, cambelts and engine repairs.
Accurately complete all job cards and service documentation.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
Ensure all tools and workshop equipment are maintained and used correctly.
Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices at all times.
Work closely with the Service Advisors and Workshop Controller to ensure vehicles are completed within agreed timescales.
Deliver a high standard of workmanship while contributing positively to the workshop team.
Requirements:
Qualified to
Level 3 NVQ
,
City & Guilds
or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician within the automotive industry.
MOT Testing Licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Ability to work efficiently within a busy workshop environment.
Own tools are essential.
Full UK Driving Licence with no more than six penalty points.
Positive attitude with excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering quality workmanship.
