The role of the Senior Administrator is an exciting opportunity to work across the Governance and Compliance and the Health and Safety teams. The role supports services to the University to enable the delivery of corporate and academic governance and Health, Safety and Wellbeing compliance by providing high quality administrative support.
You will play an important role within a small directorate, delivering a high-quality outcomes to stakeholders working across the University.
This post will work collaboratively with the directorate teams to deliver a multidisciplinary, inclusive, and responsive service, to ensure customer service excellence for key stakeholders including members of the Board and executive, team members, senior staff and, commercial and sector agencies as appropriate.
We are looking for an individual with a strong commitment to customer care and communication. You will have experience of carrying out a wide range of complex administration activities along with good organisational skills and be able to work with the team to respond to time critical requests.
We are looking for candidates with experience of working in a dynamic environment, with the ability to manage their own workload. Effective communication, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines are key to the role.

You will be contractually enrolled into the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) - one of the largest and most generous defined benefit pension schemes in the country.

Each year you will earn a secure pension benefit of 1/49th of your salary and the University will pay pension contributions towards the cost of this pension (currently worth about 22% of your salary). For a starting salary of £25,000, for example, the University would pay just over £5,400 in the first year of your employment and you would earn a pension of £510 p.a. for that year (payable from your State Pension Age).
If you are currently a member of the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS), you can choose to opt out of the LGPS and remain in the USS. Please contact the Pensions team to discuss options available.
