Business Analyst – Energy Trading Typology & Deal Templates

Location: Hybrid/Remote – Switzerland

Contract: 6 months (with potential extension- OUTSIDE IR35)

We are partnering with a specialist consulting firm to recruit an experienced Business Analyst to support a strategic energy trading programme. The role focuses on defining a product typology and standardised deal templates, helping to optimise trading processes and drive consistency across operational workflows.

• Lead the definition and documentation of a structured product typology for energy trading.
• Design deal entry templates to standardise trade capture across trading desks and regions.
• Map, analyse, and optimise end-to-end trading processes, from trade capture through physical delivery, operations, and settlement.
• Engage with stakeholders across trading, operations, and IT to capture requirements and ensure adoption of new workflows.
• Support implementation into key systems and contribute to change management initiatives.
• Ensure processes align with governance, compliance, and reporting standards.

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in energy trading (front office and physical delivery). Minimum 3 years preferred.
• Strong understanding of ETRM systems (e.g., Endur, Allegro, Murex) and trade lifecycle processes.
• Experience designing typologies, deal templates, or other standardisation initiatives.
• Investigative mindset, comfortable challenging the status quo.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple stakeholders, and drive projects to completion.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
