The Investment team is primarily responsible for the trading and delivery of our agencies and clients’ campaigns and ensuring we hit measurement and commercial targets. As an Investment Manager within the team, you will support the Account and Business Directors, learn the skills required to progress, and eventually trade within agency teams or assist in the Accountability and Performance team to achieve targets.

ADAY IN THE LIFE
- Work with the team to service a range of clients and agencies at the highest level possible.
- Manage all trading & negotiation across assigned agency business, oversee non‑Investment trades with the planning team, and ensure pricing is appropriate.
- Be the gatekeeper of options and bookings through Plato.
- Understand the PRF & Productivity process and the investment strategies by client.
- Work closely with your Investment Business Director and the Performance Team to understand the current position before entering the market and pre‑track any plan.
- Deliver relevant KPI requirements and PRF guarantees with the Investment Directors and Planning Team.
- Attend key client audits alongside a Client/Investment Director.
- Assist in delivering all relevant commercial targets within your assigned agency team.
- Grow and develop key client business alongside planning teams, focusing on dormant and non‑user development.
- Assist in delivering our value banks across the designated agency team.
- Ensure effective delivery of client barter requirements.
- Assist in the delivery of our charity obligations.
- Provide expertise for the assigned business area and communicate relevant marketplace changes externally and internally.
- Strive for maximum efficiency in plan creation and workflow process.
- Contribute to Talon’s tools and systems to improve the output of the team.
- Oversee delivery of generator pieces/deals, identify weaker market points, and distribute proactive deals.
- Understand media owners, their business, and act as an internal brand ambassador.
- Develop strong relationships with all media owner contacts and participate in the Media Owner Champions Programme.
- Identify new income opportunities, activating them commercially and innovating in approach.
- Develop relationships with contacts at auditing companies.
- Use all tools and systems such as Plato.
- Grow industry knowledge through internal and external training programmes and site tours.
- Communicate Talon philosophy and specialist business unit offerings appropriately.
- Share knowledge and best practice across the team and business.
- Assist in wider company initiatives including new business pitches, Cogs, etc.
- Comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate proper care and respect for corporate assets.
- Champion sustainability and advocate positive social and environmental impact.
- Participate in projects and initiatives that drive Talon’s commitment to positive causes such as charity partnerships, volunteering, and carbon offsetting.
