Visum Recruitment has the pleasure of representing a well-established, forward-thinking business in the industrial sector who are seeking a Sales Manager to join them on a full time, permanent basis.

You’ll work closely with the leadership team to identify and capitalise on new market opportunities, align commercial strategies with business objectives, and support cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic development and execution of the sales team to support short, medium, and long-term goals.
  • Set and monitor sales targets.
  • Analyse key markets and identify high-potential opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Ensure integration of the sales and marketing function with other business areas to support cohesive growth.
  • Conduct regular customer and depot visits, supporting regional sales teams and identifying development areas.
  • Lead annual sales planning and provide input into broader strategic planning and capital investment decisions.
  • Facilitate bi-annual sales and marketing meetings and contribute to monthly senior management discussions.
  • Use of the CRM system to give clear sight of leads and opportunities.
  • Proven success track record in a sales leadership role, ideally within the materials handling or a related industrial sector.
  • Ability to lead a high-performing team.
  • Experienced in budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning.
  • Ability to identify and act on market trends with agility and innovation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and comfortable with data-driven decision-making.
  • Willing to travel.
Qualifications
  • Proven leadership experience in sales within materials handling or a related industrial sector.
  • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and data-driven decision-making.
Salary & Benefits
  • Circa 60k + annual bonus (up to 5%).
