Are you a commercially minded Buyer who enjoys analysing markets, building supplier relationships and making strategic purchasing decisions?
We re recruiting for a Commercial Buyer to join a growing organisation operating within a regulated environmental market. This is not a traditional raise a PO purchasing role. Instead, you ll be managing supply in a live, often volatile market balancing cost, compliance and commercial risk.
It s ideal for someone who enjoys market dynamics, forecasting and negotiation, and wants a role with genuine commercial influence.
The RoleAs Commercial Buyer, you will:
- Develop and execute buying strategies across multiple material streams
- Monitor market pricing trends, availability and volatility
- Forecast demand based on client data and regulatory obligations
- Manage purchasing exposure across quarterly and annual cycles
- Negotiate pricing, volumes and contractual terms with accredited suppliers
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Conduct supplier due diligence and performance reviews
- Produce reports on cost, coverage and risk exposure
- Support internal compliance and audit requirements
You ll play a key role in ensuring sufficient supply coverage while managing cost and risk in a regulated environment.
About YouYou may currently be working in:
- Procurement or buying
- Commodities or trading
- A commercially analytical supply chain role
We re looking for someone who:
- Has strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Is confident analysing data and forecasting demand
- Understands commercial risk and market exposure
- Has high attention to detail and strong record-keeping ability
- Is calm and commercially focused in changing markets
Experience with in a regulated or compliance-driven sector would be advantageous, but not essential.

9am 5pm Monday Friday - Remote working with occasional office visits
