Role OverviewThe Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities that drive sustainable revenue growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, capable of building long‑term partnerships, influencing senior stakeholders, and leading complex sales cycles from opportunity identification through to contract execution.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company growth objectives
- Identify new markets, sectors, and partnership opportunities
- Contribute to go‑to‑market planning and pricing strategies
- Generate and qualify high‑value leads through proactive prospecting, networking, and market research
- Manage end‑to‑end sales cycles, including discovery, proposal development, negotiation, and closing
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Build trusted relationships with senior decision‑makers and C‑level stakeholders
- Act as a commercial point of contact for strategic accounts and partners
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums
- Lead commercial negotiations and contract discussions
- Forecast revenue accurately and report pipeline activity to leadership
- Ensure deals meet margin, risk, and compliance requirements
- Work closely with Marketing, Product, Legal, and Delivery teams to ensure successful deal execution
- Mentor junior business development or sales team members where required
- Provide market insights and competitive intelligence to senior leadership
- Proven track record of success in senior business development or enterprise sales roles
- Experience managing complex, high‑value B2B sales cycles
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and influencing skills
- Excellent understanding of commercial models and revenue forecasting
- Ability to operate strategically while executing tactically

- Existing network of relevant industry contacts
- Experience working with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, Hub Spot)
