This is a great role for someone who is currently in a sales role or looking to get into this field, and who is keen to take the next step in their career and build their knowledge of the Retirement Solutions Market - a core focus of the Insurance, Wealth, and Retirement (IWR) business.
A bit about the jobThis is a predominantly telephony based role aligned to the Equity Release, Annuity and Long Term Care Market within intermediated distribution. These products are part of the IWR strategy and play an integral role in the success of the business. As the Business Development Manager you will play a vital role in establishing relationships with our intermediaries and finding opportunities to work with our face to face BDMs to improve those relationships, and therefore the role is key to ensuring that we maximise the potential of our proposition in the Retirement Solutions market and take advantage of the opportunities within each of the markets we operate in.
Skillsand experience we’re looking for
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with the wider distribution team and contribute to achieving sales targets.
- Ideally expertise in engaging with medium to large sized firms through proactive outbound sales calls, aimed at growing business, whilst ensuring service quality and adhering to risk management principles.
- Proficiency in using various forms of communication platforms such as phone, email, Microsoft Teams, and Linked In to generate leads and promote our propositions to advisers.
- Experience in managing relationships and using data to manage performance and identify business opportunities with those business relationships.
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills to win business and increase market share.

- Starting salary between £28,000 - £36,000 (depending on skills, experience, and qualifications)
- Bonus opportunity – 8% (C grade) of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
