Pay Services Administrator
Starting salary £25,758 plus an annual bonus potential of £1,200 (paid quarterly). 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, and a company pension scheme with highly competitive employer contribution rates.

Full time, fixed-term 12 months.
Location:
Royal Mail, Pond Street, Sheffield S98 6HR
– hybrid working with 4 days in the office and 1 day working remotely.
The Role
- Processing and maintaining high volumes of payroll data
- Applying effective checks and controls to ensure payroll accuracy and reduce risk
- Ensuring all payroll activity complies with business policies and statutory requirements
- Delivering Pay Services processes accurately to internal and external stakeholders
- Responding to queries with a professional, customer-first approach
- Identifying and escalating service issues promptly
- Highlighting opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency
- Collaborating with colleagues and contributing to team meetings and discussions
- Taking ownership of your development and supporting the wider team
We’re looking for a detail-focused and proactive individual who is confident working with data.
- Experience in payroll administration and an understanding of payroll processes
- A good working knowledge of Excel
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with experience handling large data sets
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- A proactive approach to improving processes and service delivery
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively
