Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Bid Manager / Writer

An established bid consultancy is looking for a Bid Manager / Bid Writer to join their growing team.

This is a dual role for a real bid all-rounder, someone confident managing the bid process end-to-end, engaging with stakeholders and subject matter experts, while also being hands-on with writing and developing high-quality content.

The role would suit an experienced Bid Writer looking to take the next step into bid management, a Bid Coordinator ready to take greater ownership of the end-to-end process, or an experienced Bid Manager / Bid Writer who enjoys being involved in both the management and delivery of bids.

It’s an opportunity to have genuine ownership across the full bid lifecycle, while still being close to the content and strategy rather than simply coordinating the process.

Ideally, you’ll have experience within the construction or infrastructure sectors, with experience working with Tier 1 contractors advantageous.

This is a hybrid role, working 3 days per week in their office just outside Sheffield.

Salary: £45,000–£55,000 depending on experience, plus 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays, healthcare, life cover and bonus.

Key responsibilities:
  • Manage bids through the full lifecycle, from opportunity through to submission
  • Develop and maintain bid programmes and tender schedules
  • Coordinate stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Lead or support storyboard and information-gathering sessions
  • Write and develop compelling PQQ, SQ and ITT responses
  • Edit and review content from a range of contributors
  • Engage confidently with stakeholders to draw out strong bid content
  • Manage reviews, approvals and submission deadlines
About you:
  • Bid experience within construction, infrastructure or a related sector
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Experience coordinating or managing bids
  • Confident engaging with stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Keen to develop and take greater ownership of the full bid lifecycle
