Site Manager; Fit

Our pipeline continues to grow, and as we expand our footprint across the UK, we're looking for a skilled Site Manager to join our high‑performing delivery team.

As a Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day‑to‑day delivery of commercial Cat A and Cat B fit‑out schemes, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards. You'll be leading on‑site teams and subcontractors, solving problems proactively, and representing Wates Smartspace with professionalism and pride.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing all on‑site activities, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
• Leading site teams and supply chain partners through effective coordination and communication
• Monitoring project progress, quality, and programme performance
• Driving a positive site culture built on collaboration, safety, and high performance
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal teams
• Proactively resolving operational challenges to keep projects running smoothly

• A proven track record delivering commercial fit‑out or refurbishment projects
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with a hands‑on, solutions‑focused approach
• An excellent understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and quality standards
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications
• A passion for creating exceptional spaces and delivering work you can be proud of
