A respected Tier 2 Main Contractor is looking for a confident and driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants real responsibility, autonomy and the chance to work on high quality projects across London and the South East.

This role suits someone who enjoys owning packages, working closely with site teams and leading commercial strategy from early stages to final account.

• Manage all commercial aspects of assigned projects from procurement through to final account.
• Prepare valuations, variations, cost reports and forecasts while maintaining clear and accurate documentation.
• Lead subcontract procurement including tender analysis, negotiation and award.
• Work closely with the project team to ensure cost control, risk management and timely delivery of commercial information.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team when required.
• Ensure all commercial practices follow company procedures and project requirements.

• Experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment.
• Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and commercial construction processes.
• Proven ability to manage your own projects with minimal supervision.
• Confident in valuations, cost control, variations and reporting.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
• A proactive and solutions focused approach with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
