Estimator – Sheffield

£40,000 to £60,000 plus car allowance or company car.

We are seeking an experienced Estimator from a main contractor background to join a regional main contractor based in Sheffield. The role will support the commercial team, handling estimates, tenders, and client interactions for commercial newbuild and refurb projects.

• Work closely with directors and the commercial team.
• Carry out estimates and submit tenders for commercial newbuild and refurb projects.
• Attend client meetings and site visits to scope the project.
• Review enquiries, send to subcontractors, collate prices and specifications.
• Produce tender reports and present to Directors before submission.
• Complete tenders on projects up to £4 million.
• Provide over-value engineering and technical advice to clients.
• Attend pre-start meetings and hand over to the operational team.

• Proven experience working as an Estimator.
• Experience on projects up to £5 million.
• Construction qualification preferred but not essential.
• Good IT skills.
• Excellent relationship-building skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

• Basic salary £40,000 to £60,000 per annum.
• Car allowance or company car.
• 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
• Pension after qualifying period.
• Working hours 8 am‑5 pm Monday to Thursday, 8 am‑4 pm Friday.

Long-established family business, working on commercial new-build and fit-out projects. Project values range from £200k to £4 million. We work within frameworks on commercial and industrial new-build and refurb schemes.
