Senior Quantity Surveyor

We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Kier Places - Building Solutions team based in London.

Location: London

Hours: 40 hours a week 08:30 – 17:00

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in managing the commercial resources of construction projects, working on exciting refurbishment and re-cladding projects valued between £5m - £15m. You'll be part of a collaborative team that's committed to delivering high-quality projects for strategic clients across London, making a positive difference to communities every day.

• Managing commercial resources and maximising planned gross margin through careful placement and control of contracts.
• Tendering, evaluating and appointing subcontractors, and placing orders for materials and plant.
• Identifying, negotiating and agreeing project variations with customers and suppliers.
• Measuring, valuing and agreeing work progress to support invoicing and payment processes.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and the supply chain.

• You have a Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying (desirable) and relevant experience in a similar role.
• You possess strong communication skills and can work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• You're highly organised with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
• You're confident using IT packages including Microsoft Office and bespoke systems.
• You're collaborative, willing to share knowledge and support others whilst taking initiative when needed.
