We are currently looking for an experienced Estimator with a strong background in civil engineering, earthworks and groundworks to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator who understands the commercial and operational side of civil engineering projects and is confident producing accurate, competitive tenders from enquiry through to submission.
The RoleAs an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed and commercially competitive estimates for a range of civils, earthworks and groundworks projects across the Midlands and South Yorkshire.
- Reviewing tender enquiries, drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
- Preparing detailed estimates and competitive tenders.
- Producing accurate quantities and take-offs for earthworks, groundworks and civil engineering works.
- Obtaining and assessing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Developing rates for labour, plant, materials and subcontract works.
- Identifying risks, exclusions, opportunities and potential value engineering solutions.
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and the wider commercial team.
- Supporting the preparation of tender submissions and pricing documentation.
- Working closely with the Contracts and Project Management teams to ensure estimates are realistic and achievable.
- Maintaining an accurate pipeline of live and upcoming tenders.
We are looking for someone with a solid civils and earthworks background, ideally with experience estimating projects involving:
