The role of the Estimator – Architectural & Structural Metalwork will involve:
· Estimating position dealing with a range of high quality balustrades, stairs, balconies and structural steel
Liaise with clients and designers to gain a full understanding of project requirements
Liaise with suppliers to obtain costs for materials, labour and plant and equipment
Produce detailed take-offs and formalised quotations to clients
Keep internal database and documentation up to date
Attending at mid-bid & post tender meetings
Prioritise own work load to ensure deadlines are met
Working on project sizes ranging between £300k - £3m
The ideal applicant will be Estimator – Architectural & Structural Metalwork with:
· Must have 3 years' experience estimating experience within a specialist subcontractor
· Must have steel fabrication experience however would consider other building envelope backgrounds such as cladding, cladding support systems, metalwork, etc
· Experience working on large scale projects
· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
· High levels of attention to detail
· Driven, ambitious, self-motivated and a positive attitude
· Capable of working in a fast paced environment
· Be able to commute or re-locate
