The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and an enviable pipeline of Tier-1 construction projects, a highly competent, commercially aware Project Manager is required to join their delivery team.

The successful Project Manager will take full accountability for delivering multi-discipline fire and security packages (ranging from £100k to £1M+) on active construction sites. Working as the primary point of contact for main contractors, the Project Manager will ensure all assigned projects are delivered safely, on time and strictly within budget.

Key Responsibilities

* Project Delivery:
Overseeing the full lifecycle of new build installation projects from handover to final commissioning and client sign-off.

* Commercial & Financial Management:
Demonstrating sharp commercial awareness by managing project variations, tracking labour costs, optimizing material procurement and protecting profit margins.

* Contractor Liaison:
Attending site progress meetings with Tier-1 main contractors, M&E consultants, and site managers to align schedules.

* Resource Allocation:
Managing subcontractors and direct engineering labour to ensure productivity targets and compliance standards are hit.

* Health & Safety:
Maintaining impeccable site standards, ensuring RAMS are issued and adhered to in line with industry expectations.

What the Ideal Candidate Brings

* Track Record:
Solid experience as a Project Manager managing fire and security installation projects specifically within new build commercial, education, or large residential sectors.

* Technical Breadth:
Strong working knowledge across Fire Detection (BS 5839), AOV/Smoke Ventilation, Access Control, CCTV and Intruder systems.

* Commercial Acumen:
Demonstrated capability in managing variations, valuations, applications for payment and budget forecasting.

* Site Credentials:
Valid CSCS Black/Gold Card, SMSTS or SSSTS and a fundamental understanding of JCT or NEC contract frameworks.

* Communication:
Exceptional client-facing skills with the ability to manage demanding main contractors on major construction sites.
